This cross-sectional study of 195 dental students in Spain investigated how sleep, smoking, diet, and mealtime routines influence oral health. Results showed that healthier lifestyle habits—including adequate sleep, a balanced diet, and regular mealtimes—were associated with fewer dental caries and better periodontal health. Importantly, these healthy behaviors moderated the negative effects of smoking, which was strongly correlated with more filled teeth and bleeding upon probing. The findings underscore the interrelated impact of daily lifestyle habits on oral health and highlight opportunities for prevention among young adults.
