This study analyzes ready-to-eat cereal (RTEC) consumption among Malaysian children and its association with nutrient intake and socio-demographic factors. RTEC consumers had higher intakes of vitamins C, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, and iron, but also consumed more sugar. RTEC consumption was associated with urban living, higher parental education, and income levels. The findings suggest that RTEC may support nutrient intake, although sugar intake remains a concern.
