This study compared fish consumption habits of pregnant women in 2013 and 2023 in Italy. Data from 282 participants showed a significant increase in fish consumption in 2023, attributed to greater awareness of its health benefits. Profession, education level, and family size influenced fish intake, with higher fish consumption linked to better gestational weight management. The study emphasizes the positive impact of public nutrition education and suggests ongoing strategies to promote fish intake during pregnancy for maternal and fetal health.
