This study explores the impact of Foreign Agricultural Investments (FAI) on smallholder farmers’ adoption of soil and water conservation methods in Uganda. Using data from 1,181 respondents across three regions, the findings indicate that proximity to FAIs has a weak but significant positive effect on adopting these practices. Education level and access to communication tools, like mobile phones and radios, also emerged as critical factors. The study recommends policies to enhance rural digital penetration and increased farmer exposure to FAIs to promote sustainable farming practices.
