Healthy Plates, Smart Investments: Building and strengthening public-private engagement for nutrition.

We are proud to launch the “Healthy Plates, Smart Investments” campaign anchored in the belief that healthier diets are not just a public good but a smart, investable priority. The campaign particularly reframes how we see the role of the private sector in nutrition, not just as participants but as co-creators, innovators, key investors, and drivers for integrating healthier diets into food systems through smart, scalable investments.

Oftentimes, the priorities of the public and private sectors are framed as oppositional, but plenty of common goals would be better tackled together. So, how do we maximise the skills, expertise and resources of both sectors to make safe and nutritious foods more affordable, available, and desirable? What is the best way to promote this kind of public-private engagement (PPE) for nutrition?

This backdrop and the reality that 2030 is approaching fast makes #HealthyPlates timely for bridging policy commitments with investment-ready solutions, showcasing fresh data, scientific breakthroughs, and private sector opportunities.
