Following the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) event on 14 December, The Hon. Mike Rann AC CNZM, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The Power of Nutrition, calls for governments, businesses, investors, academics and NGOs to prioritise nutrition.
The Nutrition for Growth Year of Action was formally launched earlier this week, virtually bringing together world leaders and the nutrition community to showcase new policy, impact and financial commitments to nutrition in the lead up to the Tokyo N4G Summit. This was a critical event, and important pledges to tackle malnutrition were made, but Hon. Mike Rann says "government funding alone is not enough. Private sector backing is imperative, and collaboration between sectors encourages sustainable, scalable programmes" - especially in the face of threats like COVID-19.
