This case-control study assessed dietary intake in IBS-C patients vs. healthy controls. IBS-C patients consumed fewer whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, with insufficient intake of energy, fiber, and key micronutrients. Findings highlight nutritional inadequacies among IBS-C patients, supporting the need for pre-intervention dietary evaluations.
