This FAO-supported project (2019–2021) aimed to strengthen food and nutrition security governance in Grenada, Haiti, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines through the establishment and operationalization of Parliamentary Fronts Against Hunger (PFH). These platforms promoted multi-party dialogue and legislative development related to hunger eradication and food systems.
The project provided support for legal reforms including Haiti’s Law on School Feeding and initiated dialogue for school nutrition policy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. PFH structures were institutionalized through roadmaps and strategic partnerships. Activities included awareness campaigns, participation in regional PFH forums, and support for national governance frameworks.
Despite COVID-19 and political challenges, the project made significant strides in policy development and institutional strengthening. It emphasized government leadership, FAO technical guidance, and promoted the human right to food.
