The article evaluates the training and capacity development needs of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) for improving WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene) and related services. It identifies moderate awareness among PRIs but critical gaps in DRR, climate change, sanitation, education, health, and gender programs. The study stresses the need for a comprehensive, context-specific capacity-building framework to enhance grassroots governance and service delivery. The overarching theme is strengthening PRI capacities for localized SDG achievement and community health outcomes.
