The article highlights the implementation of the SADC Food and Nutrition Security Strategy (FNSS) 2015–2025, focusing on addressing the triple burden of malnutrition through integrated regional efforts. It emphasizes improved food production, dietary diversity, school nutrition programmes, and behavior change communication across 16 Member States. The project facilitated the development of regional dietary guidelines, a food and nutrition information system, and a synthesis report on vulnerability. Despite delays due to COVID-19, strong political commitment, capacity development initiatives, and a human rights-based approach helped ensure sustainability and impact.
