Integrated Food and Nutrition Security Phase Classification (IPC): Provision of Reliable IPC Analysis for Evidence-Based Information for Decision-Makers to Better Respond to Food Crises and Acute Malnutrition – Yemen

This project by FAO in Yemen used the IPC framework to strengthen national capacity for evidence-based response to food crises. Through IPC Level 1 training and analysis across 22 governorates, over 300 individuals were engaged, with 173 receiving direct training. The project enhanced early warning capabilities and supported humanitarian planning. It developed technical analysis products and policy briefs while coordinating with ministries and global partners. While gender and environmental aspects were partially addressed, the project supported long-term resilience building.
