A Review of Evidence on the One Full Meal Program provides an in-depth analysis of a government-led initiative aimed at improving maternal nutrition in India. Implemented across several states, the One Full Meal (OFM) program combines hot-cooked meal provision with health services and nutrition counselling for pregnant and lactating women. The report compares implementation models, program pathways, cost structures, and monitoring mechanisms, offering a rich overview of state-level adaptations and challenges.

Despite its promise, the review identifies significant gaps in impact evaluation and operational research, highlighting the limited evidence base on maternal and child nutrition outcomes. Stakeholder consultations further reveal infrastructural, behavioral, and socio-cultural barriers to participation and effectiveness. The report concludes with actionable recommendations for strengthening implementation fidelity, behavior change communication, and data-driven decision-making. It is a call to action for more rigorous research and sustained policy attention to maternal nutrition.
