FAO provided emergency aid to resume marine fishing in Mozambique following Cyclone Idai. The intervention included boat distribution, safety training, post-harvest support, and market rehabilitation. Over 2,500 fisherfolk benefited, improving food security and resilience. Training in business and hygiene practices supported longer-term income generation. The project mitigated climate disaster impacts on coastal livelihoods.
