This case study highlights FAO’s efforts to strengthen food and nutrition security in Cameroon through small-scale egg production. Targeted at women and youth in conflict-affected regions, the project involved training, distribution of chicks, feed, and cages, and capacity-building for local veterinary services. Results showed improved food access, income generation, and community-level nutrition. Poultry farming proved effective in stabilizing livelihoods.
