This paper documents how deforestation and government-led interventions in Odisha are eroding tribal forest ecosystems and threatening the food security of the Kutia Kondh tribe. Traditional farming practices and NTFP collection are disrupted, leading to malnutrition and disease. The study advocates for preserving indigenous knowledge, promoting sustainable forest governance, and respecting tribal land rights to ensure long-term food and health security.
