This multicountry study assessed Mediterranean Diet (MedDiet) adherence among 812 adults and 500 children from Türkiye, Spain, Italy, and Lebanon. Only 22% of adults and 30% of children showed strong adherence. Lebanon had the highest adult adherence. Barriers included price, availability, and accessibility, while perceived health benefits were key motivators. The study calls for policy interventions to improve affordability and access, and suggests family-based strategies for promoting MedDiet habits across generations.
