This presentation is the outcome of a high level policy dialogue in 2015 by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. The event called for better communication between smallholders, business groups, researchers and decision makers. The presentation summarises action that can be taken by public and private sectors for both loss assessment and loss reduction. In particular, it uses the example of a methodology to calculate losses in fishery and livestock. On page 24, the report highlights case studies that show generalised principles of best practice.
