Resource type:
Reports and discussion papers

This is the full report from the 2015 Future Fortified Global Summit on Food Fortification - the first ever Global Summit dedicated to large scale food fortification. Above all, it highlights the need for targeted and aligned efforts by government, the private sector, academia, consumer groups, international agencies, and donors. It contains a map of the global distribution of micronutrient deficiencies, alongside event proceedings and lists of questions identified by the working groups. It details five recommendations that are outlined in the Arusha Statement: 1. Funding for fortification, 2. Regulatory monitoring, 3. Evidence and guidelines, 4. Global reporting and 5. Advocacy.
