The 44th edition of the UNSCN Nutrition - Food environments: Where people meet the food system - looks at how food environments influence the decisions people make when purchasing, preparing and consuming food. The report is separated into three sections: Supply-side measures improving food environments; Demand-side measures improving food environments; and Enabling actions to improve the food environment.

Each section explores various aspects of food environments by providing case studies and examples from government, academics, civil society and the private sector. Many of the examples show how public and private sectors converge in and around the food environment, and suggest ways forward to make nutritious foods more available and affordable, while also empowering consumers to make choices that support healthy diets.
