Diets for a better future: Rebooting and reimagining healthy and sustainable food systems in the G20 compares the national dietary guidelines of G20 countries, and how they align (or do not) to targets set out as part of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One key finding is that food related per capita emissions in G20 countries need to be approximately halved by 2050 to "ensure we can feed 10 billion people healthy diets within planetary boundaries, and enable a more equitable global distribution of food-related GHG emissions." The report provides a lot of useful information on the impact of food systems on our planet and sets out seven conclusions for actions going forward - all of which will require collaboration and partnerships between government, academia, civil society, business and consumers.
