On 1-4 June 2020, The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) had a four day global event, Nutrition Live, to address important aspects of nutrition and global food systems, with more than 28,000 people registering globally. Dr. Paul Coates, Vice President-Elect of the ASN stated the importance of broad collaboration among public and private entities to address nutrition issues, and highlighted that diet related illnesses are the leading source of ill health in the U.S. Cross governmental solutions are also especially important in the US context.
