This 21-page briefing by Society Works summarizes information on 152 social entrepreneurs working on food production, manufacturing, distribution, and consumption in seven countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, South Sudan, Indonesia, Benin, and Ghana. The mapping project was supported by the Food and Business Knowledge Platform in the Netherlands. It is especially helpful if you’d like to know more about the food and agricultural challenges facing social entrepreneurs in the food value chain. The briefing also shows the extremely low levels of support given to entrepreneurs and provides practical solutions to improving skills and business models.
